Everyone who is into gaming, and many who aren’t, will have heard about Steam. It is one of the most widely used gaming applications for PC gamers, giving people access to a massive community (including one between you and your friends), a list of exclusive games and access to many more, just to name a few of its uses. The platform has been around for over a decade now, and from its humble beginnings it has developed into the tech and gaming juggernaut that it is today.
Because of the massive growth of the Steam company, they’ve been able to start developing some of their own stuff. Perhaps most importantly they’ve started the development of a Steam PC, PC’s which have a variety of specifications to match the specifications of their users, and an accompanying controller, to be released around the same time.
The Steam controller is of particular interest, due to how widely it differs from console controllers. One of the things which it touts are the touch pads which replace the more typical joy sticks (by which you move around in in most games). These touchpads certainly seem to change the style of gameplay of their users, and make the act of moving a cursor around with a controller considerably easier. Besides this, they seem to be a solid product comparable in most other ways to their competitors, the Xbox controllers and Playstation controllers.
